Chelsea v West Ham

CHELSEA go into this London derby with West Ham, trailing Premiership table toppers Manchester United by three points, and an inferior goal difference of seven. But in their 4-0 demolition of Watford last Saturday, there were signs of a blossoming lethal strike partnership of hat-trick hero Didier Drogba and record 30 million signing Andriy Shevchenko, which could be sending warning signals in the direction of Old Trafford ahead of next weekend's clash. That comprehensive victory over the Hornets brought up a half century of unbeaten home Premiership games for the reigning champions. But they're still 13 shy of Liverpool's English top flight record of 63, set between February 1978 and January 1981. The Blues 'doubled' West Ham last season with a 7-2 aggregate, but only lead them in the Premiership head-to-head standings by 10 wins to nine.
