Wins for Tottenham, West Ham and Aston Villa

In premiership football, Tottenham Hotspur have recorded their first home win over Chelsea in sixteen years with a 2-1 victory at White Hart Lane. Chelsea led through Claude Makelele's 30 metre strike on 15 minutes but Tottenham defender Michael Dawson levelled the match with a glancing header 10 minutes later. Aaron Lennon won the match for Spurs with a goal early in the second half. Chelsea's attempt at a come back was hindered when captain John Terry was sent off for holding. The result means Manchester Utd go 3 points clear at the top of the table. West Ham United have recorded a surprise 1-0 win over Arsenal at Upton Park. Substitute Marlon Harewood struck two minutes from time to hand the East London club the points.
